Solana Tokenization Roundup: October 2026

A month where Wall Street deepened its onchain presence as tokenized equities, commodities, and institutional financial products expanded.

  • Published:

October 2026 marked another significant month for tokenization across the Solana ecosystem. Major financial institutions expanded their onchain offerings, tokenized equities reached new milestones, and traditional financial infrastructure providers continued integrating blockchain-based settlement into their operations.

The month also highlighted the growing diversity of tokenized assets, from gold and money market funds to trade finance instruments, structured notes, and stablecoins. Meanwhile, developments involving the New York Stock Exchange, J.P. Morgan, and Securitize showed that tokenization is increasingly becoming part of the broader financial industry's long-term infrastructure plans.

Here is everything you might have missed:

October 2: Fiserv's Digital Asset Platform Goes Live on Solana

Fiserv's digital asset platform went live, with transactions processing on Solana through Roughrider Coin, a digital currency issued for the state-owned Bank of North Dakota.

VersaBank issues the token and manages custody and reserves, while Fireblocks provides the tokenization infrastructure. Participating banks can access the system through Commercial Center, their existing platform for interbank transfers. The launch demonstrates how blockchain infrastructure can integrate with conventional banking systems to improve payment and settlement efficiency.

October 5: Tokenized Swiss Gold Arrives on Solana

$DGLD, a tokenized gold product from Swiss refiner MKS PAMP, launched on Solana, with SwissBorg bringing access to its network of more than 1 million users.

Each $DGLD token represents co-ownership of 1 troy ounce of physical gold stored in Swiss vaults. The launch expands Solana's tokenized commodities market and brings another precious metals product onchain.

October 7: Tokenized Silver Issuer Dominion Market Announces Closure

Dominion Market, issuer of $SILV, announced that it would shut down following the September 11 exploit.

The exploit severely damaged the project's liquidity and working capital, leaving it with insufficient resources to restore operations. The closure highlighted the security and liquidity risks facing tokenized commodity issuers, even as the broader market continues to expand.

October 8: Securitize Launches Tokenized U.S. Stocks

Securitize launched Securitize Stocks on Solana, introducing tokenized U.S. equities backed 1:1 by underlying shares.

The initial offering includes security entitlements to Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Google, Tesla, Meta, Amazon, Netflix, Circle, SpaceX, Strategy, and Palantir shares. Unlike products that primarily provide exposure to stock price movements, Securitize Stocks aim to preserve the economic benefits and investor rights associated with underlying shares, including applicable dividends and voting rights for eligible investors.

October 12: OSL Brings Tokenized Digital Asset Fund to Solana

OSL tokenized USDGO Plus SP, a market-neutral digital asset fund from 2WA, on Solana.

OSL provides custody and distribution, while eligible professional investors in Hong Kong can subscribe to and redeem the fund through the OSL HK application. The fund seeks to generate returns from funding-rate spreads in cryptocurrency derivatives markets rather than relying on directional price movements.

October 20: Solana Retakes the Lead in Tokenized Equity Holders

Solana regained its position as the leading blockchain by tokenized equity holders after losing the lead to Robinhood in July.

The network surpassed 1.5 million tokenized equity holders, reversing a trend that began when memestocks gained popularity within Robinhood's ecosystem.

October 22: J.P. Morgan Brings Tokenized Money Market Funds to Solana

J.P. Morgan Asset Management expanded its tokenized money market funds to Solana, bringing MONY and JLTXX to the network.

MONY, the My OnChain Net Yield Fund, and JLTXX, the JPMorgan OnChain Liquidity Token Money Market Fund, are available to qualified U.S. investors through Morgan Money. Investors can subscribe to and redeem the funds through the platform while receiving token balances directly in their Solana wallets.

The same day, Solana's tokenized credit supply reached a new all-time high of $1.236 billion, highlighting growing demand for onchain credit products.

The milestone reflected continued expansion in onchain exposure to physical commodities, including gold and silver.

October 26: PrimeRevenue Brings Trade Finance Assets to Solana

PrimeRevenue announced plans to tokenize its Electronic Time Drafts (ETDs) on Solana.

ETDs represent a buyer's obligation to pay a specified amount on a defined future date. PrimeRevenue plans to record their issuance, transfers, lifecycle events, and maturity settlements onchain. The company's existing working-capital platform serves 50,000 companies and more than 100 funding partners, facilitating over $300 billion in annual payment transactions.

The same day, tokenized Donald Trump Media stock (DJT), issued by Backpack, recorded approximately $20 million in Solana trading volume over 24 hours. That represented 83.3% of the stock's estimated $24 million average daily trading volume in traditional markets.

October 28: Mirae Asset Issues Tokenized Funding Notes

Mirae Asset Securities Hong Kong completed a tokenized funding note issuance on Solana under its $3 billion Guaranteed Structured Note Programme. Mirae Asset, which manages more than $1 trillion in client assets, issued USD-denominated six-month floating-rate notes to eligible institutional investors.

The Hong Kong securities arm manages token issuance, payments, and lifecycle operations, while Marketnode, a Singapore-regulated digital market infrastructure operator, supported the transaction as an authorized distributor. The Solana Foundation also supported the initiative.

October 29: Ondo Launches Intelligent Portfolios

Ondo Finance launched Ondo Intelligent Portfolios on Solana, introducing 7 curated investment portfolios covering income, growth, and thematic strategies.

Each portfolio combines tokenized stocks and ETFs into a single transferable token with automatic rebalancing. Three of the portfolios draw on BlackRock-powered investment products.

The same day, tokenized equities on Solana surpassed 2,077 unique products, setting a new all-time high.

October 29: Backpack Partners With SK Securities

Backpack announced a strategic partnership with SK Securities, a publicly listed South Korean securities firm, to expand international access to Korean equities.

The partnership will introduce Korean stock trading services to eligible non-resident foreign investors through the Backpack application. Both companies also plan to explore opportunities involving tokenized securities and real-world assets, potentially connecting South Korea's traditional financial markets with global onchain liquidity.

October 30: Hong Kong Dollar Stablecoin Expands to Solana

Anchorpoint Financial announced a strategic collaboration with the Solana Foundation to bring its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin, $HKDAP, to Solana.

Anchorpoint is a Hong Kong-licensed stablecoin issuer backed by Standard Chartered, HKT, and Animoca Brands. The integration will support native minting and redemption on Solana, with near-instant settlement for retail payments, tokenized assets, and cross-border financial transactions.

Broader Trends: Institutional Tokenization Moves Beyond Equities

October highlighted how tokenization continues to expand beyond stocks into almost every major category of financial assets. J.P. Morgan, Mirae Asset, PrimeRevenue, OSL, and Securitize all introduced or expanded tokenized financial products on Solana. Their initiatives covered money market funds, structured notes, trade finance, digital asset funds, and publicly traded equities.

Meanwhile, tokenized equity adoption continued to grow. Solana ended October with approximately 1.74 million addresses holding tokenized equities, while the number of unique tokenized equity products surpassed 2,077.

Tokenized Equity Holders

The month also brought renewed attention to tokenization's long-term role in traditional financial markets. Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo described tokenization as the future of how products move through capital markets during an appearance on the NYSE channel.

IBM's Tatsunori Kondo offered a similar long-term perspective, arguing that tokenization could eventually become so commonplace that financial institutions would stop using the term altogether.

October demonstrated that this transition involves more than placing existing financial assets onchain. Institutions are increasingly exploring new distribution channels, settlement systems, liquidity mechanisms, and investment products.

As traditional financial firms continue developing these systems, Solana's role in tokenized markets is expanding beyond equities into a broader range of financial and real-world assets.

The developments suggest that tokenization is gradually moving from a standalone financial innovation toward an increasingly integrated component of global capital markets.
