Standard Chartered-Backed Anchorpoint to Bring Hong Kong’s $HKDAP Stablecoin to Solana
The planned integration will enable native minting and redemption of the Hong Kong dollar stablecoin on Solana, targeting retail payments, tokenized assets, and cross-border capital flows.

Anchorpoint Financial, a Hong Kong-licensed stablecoin issuer backed by Standard Chartered, HKT, and Animoca Brands, has entered into a strategic collaboration with the Solana Foundation to expand its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin, $HKDAP, to Solana.
The collaboration marks Anchorpoint's first partnership with a public blockchain foundation. It will enable the native minting and redemption of $HKDAP on Solana, with near-instant settlement designed to support retail payments, tokenized RWA trading, and other high-volume financial applications.
The integration will also provide a regulated route for international users and institutions to access Hong Kong dollar-denominated payments, financial products, and tokenized assets through Solana's global ecosystem.
Anchorpoint and the Solana Foundation plan to work with corporate partners, wallets, applications, and developers to expand access to $HKDAP and products built around the stablecoin.
"We are building towards an open network designed to connect ecosystems, not fragment them. Our collaboration with Solana Foundation reflects that philosophy, bringing together regulated tokenized money infrastructure and one of the world's leading public blockchain ecosystems. As we continue to expand the HKDAP ecosystem, our focus remains on enabling connectivity across networks, participants, and markets. By building open infrastructure, we can create greater opportunities for our partners while supporting broader access to regulated Hong Kong dollar digital money." - Dominic Maffei, CEO & Co-Founder of Anchorpoint
$HKDAP Targets Broader Adoption Beyond Institutional Payments
Anchorpoint began rolling out $HKDAP in August following the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's (HKMA) decision to grant Standard Chartered and Anchorpoint a stablecoin issuer license on April 10, 2026.
The initial rollout focuses on institutional payments and settlement through a Beta Access program. HashKey and OSL currently serve as authorized distribution partners. However, $HKDAP remains limited to Ethereum during the Beta Access phase. The planned Solana integration will extend its availability to another public blockchain.
Anchorpoint targets a Full Launch as early as the end of 2026, subject to the readiness of issuance, distribution, custody, and other supporting infrastructure. The full launch will allow retail users and other participants to access, hold, and use $HKDAP through authorized distributors and ecosystem partners.
“Stablecoins play an important role in bringing digital assets into everyday financial activity. With fast settlement and access to a global ecosystem of wallets and applications, $HKDAP on Solana has the potential to make Hong Kong Dollar-denominated digital value more accessible and useful across a wider range of real-world use cases. Initiatives like this help bridge regulated financial infrastructure with the speed, accessibility and scale needed for the next generation of digital financial services.” - Lu Yin, Head of APAC, Solana Foundation
Anchorpoint's transparency dashboard shows a current circulating supply of 103.1 million $HKDAP.
Solana Joins Anchorpoint's Tokenised Money Adoption Programme
Beyond the blockchain integration, the Solana Foundation will join Anchorpoint's Tokenised Money Adoption Programme (TAP) as a strategic partner alongside PwC Hong Kong.
Anchorpoint launched TAP in September to promote education, research, and industry dialogue through workshops and discussions. Solana's participation will involve collaboration and knowledge sharing to support Hong Kong's regulated stablecoin and tokenization ecosystem.
The partnership builds on Solana's growing engagement with Hong Kong. The foundation recently joined the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES) program and plans to establish a local presence in the city.
According to rwa.xyz data, Solana currently supports approximately $5.18 billion in tokenized real-world assets and more than 851,000 RWA holders, providing an existing ecosystem for the planned integration.

The network also boasts the top net RWA flows in the past 30 days with $914 million.

Solana Expands Its Presence Across Asia
The $HKDAP integration adds to a series of developments expanding Solana's presence across the region. On October 13, Pando Finance launched its Pando Solana ETF (HKEX: 02831), becoming Hong Kong's second spot Solana ETF. A day later, the Solana Foundation opened an office in Shanghai, marking a significant step in its expansion into mainland China.
With a regulated Hong Kong dollar stablecoin preparing to enter its ecosystem, Solana continues to deepen its connections with traditional financial infrastructure and digital asset markets in the region.
