The worlds of crypto and poker will collide once again today, August 4, as some of the biggest creators in the digital asset industry compete in the Solana Series of Poker (WSOPS), a special tournament held alongside the World Series of Poker.
The event follows the early success of the World Series of Poker’s collaboration with Solana, which has generated more than $20 million in tournament buy-ins through Solana payments powered by MoonPay since the partnership launched in June.
The WSOPS tournament will bring additional attention to Solana’s growing connection with one of the world’s most recognizable poker brands, with players competing on the same Final Table stage used by the WSOP.

Crypto Creators Enter the WSOP Arena
The Solana Series of Poker lineup includes several well-known figures from the crypto community, bringing millions of combined followers into the event.
The confirmed participants include MINHxDYNASTY, Ansem, Banks, AshleyDCan, Solomon, WendyO, Bangerz, Rasmr, and Gabriel Haines, all set to compete in the event.

The tournament will give creators the opportunity to compete in a professional poker setting while representing the growing overlap between crypto communities and traditional entertainment.
Players Receive Training From a WSOP Champion
Before the tournament begins, players will receive a private training session from Jamie Gold, the 2006 WSOP Main Event champion and an active 2026 competitor. Gold will provide insights into tournament strategy, player reads, and decision-making from the perspective of a former world champion.
The WSOPS winner will also earn an automatic seat at WSOP Paradise in The Bahamas this December, giving the champion a path to compete on another major poker stage.

Solana’s WSOP Partnership Moves Beyond Sponsorship
The creator tournament builds on the broader collaboration between the World Series of Poker and the Solana Foundation announced on June 10.
The partnership introduced Solana payments to WSOP events for the first time in the tournament series’ history. Players gained the ability to purchase tournament entries using Solana through MoonPay’s payment infrastructure, with zero processing fees. WSOP CEO Ty Stewart previously commented on how Solana’s speed and efficiency align with the fast-paced nature of tournament poker.
The partnership will expand during the 2026 WSOP Paradise event in December, where tournament winners can receive payouts in stablecoins on Solana. The initiative aims to improve international settlement speed and reduce payment friction for players.

The Solana Foundation also became the official Presenting Sponsor of the 2026 World Series of Poker and WSOP Paradise.
WSOPS arrives during the WSOP Main Event finale
The Solana Series of Poker takes place as the 2026 WSOP Main Event reaches its final stage. The first day of the Main Event Final Table aired on ESPN on August 3, with the remaining nine players competing for the $10 million top prize, the WSOP Main Event bracelet, and a place in poker history.
The WSOPS tournament will be professionally livestreamed through Solana’s channels and cross-promoted through WSOP platforms, bringing the crypto community directly into one of poker’s biggest events.
