What is JTX: Solana’s Most Complete Trading Platform

Introducing JTX, a professional DeFi trading terminal built by the architects of crypto's most-efficient market layer

JTX, the institutional-grade trading terminal designed by the architects of Solana’s market layer, is taking DeFi by storm. Combining the execution and UX of a centralized exchange with the diversity and accessibility of the onchain economy, JTX is giving traders the best of both worlds.

Launched publicly in July 2026 by Jito Labs, JTX bundles charts, order execution, and portfolio tracking into a single interface that feels like a professional exchange while settling every trade onchain.

What is JTX, why is it the best place to trade on Solana, and why is Jito Labs so well-equipped to build out the trading terminal Solana deserves?

What is JTX?

JTX is a self-custodial trading platform built on Solana. Complete with sophisticated order types, portfolio management, and Solana’s unrivalled execution, JTX lets traders express their opinions on a near infinite range of markets, while retaining full control over their assets.

Where in the past, trading on Solana meant juggling multiple browser extensions and hopping between various apps, JTX unites the best the network has to offer under one roof. A network-first, JTX compiles resting liquidity across all Solana DeFi venues into an omniscient order-book, giving traders an unrivaled view of onchain markets.

Beyond best-in-class trade executions, JTX offers a wealth of order types for navigating onchain markets with precision.

  • Smart Fill - JTX's flagship order type, designed to execute large trades without moving the market. Slices one big order into dozens of smaller ones fired in quick succession, sometimes half a second apart.

  • TWAPs - Spreads a large order into equal slices at fixed intervals. Instead of buying $100,000 of $SOL at once, it might buy $5,000 every few minutes over an hour, smoothing your entry and reducing market impact.

  • Limit Orders - JTX limit orders rests directly onchain through Manifest, unlike the trigger orders common across Solana DeFi. The price you set is the price you get.

  • Market orders - Buys or sells immediately at the best available price.

Whether you’re trading crypto majors like $BTC and $SOL, tokenized equities like $NVDA, or memecoins, JTX gives elite traders the tools they need to gain a competitive edge in onchain markets. JTX’s portfolio tracker gives users a comprehensive overview of their positions, including average entry and exit prices across all tradable assets.

Offering professional traders complete access to Solana’s diverse spot markets, JTX is slated to release perpetual futures trading and prediction markets in the near future.

JTX Autocompounder

As if sophisticated order types like Smart Fill and TWAPs weren’t enough, the JTX team has proven they have their thumb on the pulse of onchain market trends. Reacting quickly to the explosion of Stonk tokens (yield-bearing memecoins paired with any possible quote asset), JTX released the Autocompounder.

Autocompounder gives traders a hands-free way of swapping quote tokens they earn through holder rewards directly back into the yield-bearing Stonk asset. For example, setting autocompounder on $ZCAT will programmatically trade $ZEC rewards back into $ZCAT, boosting the underlying position and its consequent yield generation.

Why Does Solana Need JTX?

Having consistently led all networks in spot DEX trading volumes since 2024, Solana has established itself as crypto’s top venue for onchain trading. But despite offering the industry’s most active markets, Solana’s traders have relied on simple swap sites and aggregators.

Jito Labs, the team responsible for architecting Solana’s backend market layer, believes that Solana’s traders deserve better.

Solana’s onchain execution has improved dramatically in recent years. According to Jump Crypto Research, retail traders on Solana get better prices than Binance in over 97% of fills.

In $SOL trades between $5,000 and $20,000, round-trip costs came in at just 1.22 bps on Solana versus 8.33 bps on Binance's top VIP tier. By trading on Solana, you end up with more assets, while paying less money to buy them.

While there are dozens of onchain trading terminals vying for DeFi dominance, none offer an equivalent level of trade execution. JTX is designed for elite traders who move tremendous size through markets, and the data suggests that the venue’s advanced order types are helping the pros get maximum value.

In this example, a JTX trader recently TWAPed a $2 million $USDC into $SOL order across 241 slices. Each fill averaged just 0.88 bps of price impact, with 195 of 199 benchmarked fills beating Binance on price execution.

The Jito Labs Edge

Solana has emerged as the most performant Layer-1 blockchain in the crypto industry. It boasts the most efficient, high-throughput markets available in the onchain economy, and it can credit much of its success to the infrastructure providers who’ve been building Solana’s market layer for the past four years.

Jito's validator client and Block Engine, the systems that bundle and order transactions for the network, run on more than half of the network’s validators.

The team also operates JitoSOL, one of Solana's largest liquid staking tokens, and the newer Block Assembly Marketplace (BAM), a transparent system for sequencing transactions. The first BAM plugin successfully introduced 50ms order batching to Solana DeFi, enabling market makers to quote tighter and efficiently and improve trade execution across the network.

Jito knows Solana’s network architecture better than anyone else. After four years of constructing the plumbing required for crypto’s most liquid and efficient markets, Jito has finally turned its attention to the trader. The same attention to detail and high-performance execution that has made Solana what it is today is now being applied to an institutional-grade trading venue, and the results speak for themselves.

What Does This Mean for $JTO

JTX joins an expansive range of products geared towards directing value to $JTO, Jito’s native governance token. Following the successful approval of JIP-38, the Jito DAO democratically agreed to allocate 80% of JTX protocol revenue towards buying back and burning $JTO off the open market.

Trading terminals consistently rank as some of crypto’s most valuable applications, and it's certainly a crowded market. Memecoin trading platforms like Axiom and Fomo consistently rake in millions of dollars in weekly revenue, but often come with high protocol fees that discourage high-volume traders.

JTX was built to serve a different breed of onchain trader. Leveraging JTX’s diverse order types, professional traders are capable of clipping massive orders through DeFi markets, like this example of a trader TWAPing $10M through JTX in 30 minutes.

In line with the high volumes you’d expect from institutional-class traders, JTX’s fee structure is extremely generous, charging as low 0.02% on crypto majors like $BTC and $SOL.

JTX is Jito's bet that the team which built Solana's industry-leading market infrastructure can provide the frontend to match. It packages a fragmented trading experience into one professional surface, keeps users in control of their own keys, and grades its own execution against the centralized giants in real time.

Try it for yourself, at JTX.
