The second day of Solana’s Accelerate conference featured builders, founders, and policymakers all sharing the stage. Once again, the Solana community gathered at Pier 36 in New York City to culminate an eventful week.

Lawmakers Discuss Smart Crypto Regulation
Policy leaders from Washington joined the Solana stage to discuss the future of crypto regulation. Senators Bill Hagerty, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Representative Ritchie Torres spoke alongside Solana leaders about creating clear and effective regulatory frameworks for the industry.
“Instead of trusting corrupt foreign governments not to be evil, we should put our trust in the blockchain, which can't be evil,” said Representative Torres.
Sen. Bill Hagerty, speaking about the GENIUS Act, said: “Today we have a payment system that was designed in the 70s and 80s. What we are talking about with stablecoin legislation—the GENIUS Act—is the new payment system to put us into the 21st century.”
Former Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Christopher Giancarlo, predicted that within 10 years, “there won’t be a security offering, debt offering, equities offering of any significance that is not tokenized onchain.”
In addition to the conversation, CFTC Commissioner Summer Mersinger has said that she thinks that perpetual crypto futures trading is ready to come to market now in America.
Solana launches Solana Attestation Service (SAS)
The Solana Attestation Service (SAS) is an open and permissionless protocol designed to simplify identity verification and compliance across the Solana ecosystem. Built by the Solana Identity Group in partnership with the Solana Foundation, SAS allows trusted entities to issue verifiable credentials that are cryptographically signed and linked to users' wallets, such as KYC checks, geographic eligibility, and accreditation status.
These attestations can be reused across decentralized applications (dApps) without revealing sensitive data on-chain, reducing redundancy and improving user privacy.
Psy Protocol Bridge
In his presentation, ‘Verifying Dogecoin on Solana,’ Psy Founder & CEO Carter Feldman explained how Psy’s Trustless Bridge—launched earlier this week—works.
Psy’s bridge allows the Solana and Dogecoin blockchains to communicate directly, enabling each to independently verify the other's transactions and consensus, all without requiring trust in third parties.

Barrett Williams, co-founder of Ranger Finance, took to the stage to announce that Ranger Finance is launching spot aggregation and RWA support on their platform.
