DeFi Land, a popular decentralized finance game, has introduced a new feature called "NFT Fusion" that allows players to level up their in-game assets. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are unique digital assets that are stored on a blockchain and can be used to represent ownership of virtual assets such as digital art, game items, and more.
With NFT Fusion, players can combine two or more NFTs to create a more valuable and powerful asset. For example, a player can fuse two vehicles to create a larger and more valuable vehicle, or fuse a weapon with a special ability with another weapon to create a more powerful weapon.

"Our community’s response to fusion caught us by surprise. We are constantly raising the bar for NFT utility, while finding ways to sustain the value of our in-game assets. Fusion certainly accomplished these goals. We burned thousands of attributes and the floor price of our NFTs doubled," said DFL Erwin, the founder of DeFi Land.
The fusion process requires players to use a special token called "GOLDY," which can be earned through gameplay or purchased on cryptocurrency exchanges. The higher the rarity and numbers of the attributes in the NFTs being fused, the more likely it is to upgrade the NFT's rarity. Each fusion costs 1,000 $GOLDY for the upgrade. Fused NFTs will not lose their current status, but the upgraded level will be between the current level and the new rarity's level cap.
DFL Erwin proceeded to tell SolanaFloor that what they "didn’t expect was how fun the mechanic was going to be. Players celebrated their luck with fusion in Discord and Twitter, and some players even live-streamed their fusion tactics. Pretty soon, players were sweeping the floor just to get a few more spins of the fusion wheel. The best part is that with low-cost $SOL and our affordable NFTs, anyone can sweep a few floor NFTs and have a blast with fusion."
DeFi Land's NFT Fusion is a novel way for players to increase the value of their in-game assets and make their gameplay more engaging.
