Solana Ecosystem Token Unlocks: What to Watch in May 2026

A breakdown of upcoming supply events across the Solana ecosystem.

May 2026 introduces a series of token unlocks across the Solana ecosystem, with several mid-cap and large allocations scheduled for release. This month features token unlocks ranging from as much as $100 million to below $1 million.

Several projects sit at different stages of their vesting schedules. Some approach later phases with most of the supply already in circulation, while others continue to release tokens as part of ongoing distribution plans. Understanding both the size and context of each unlock helps frame potential market impact.

Here is a breakdown of the most notable token unlocks in May 2026:

May Token Unlocks

$PYTH

Pyth Network will unlock 2.13B $PYTH on May 19, valued at $99.89M. This represents 37.36% of its current circulating supply and 21.30% of its total supply.

This stands out as the largest unlock of the month by a wide margin. A release of this size introduces a significant amount of new supply into the market, which may affect short-term liquidity and price dynamics

$PUMP

Pump.fun is scheduled to unlock 10B $PUMP tokens on May 12, valued at $17.63M. This tranche accounts for 2.77% of its circulating supply and 1% of its total supply.

It is worth noting that the token launchpad has recently been at the center of controversy after burning 123B $PUMP tokens it had previously repurchased over the months following the token’s launch. The tokens burnt were valued at over $370 million and represented over 36% of the token’s circulating supply.

$KMNO

Kamino matches last month’s unlock with an equal release of 229.17M $KMNO on May 30, valued at $4.70M. This unlock equals 3.26% of its circulating supply and 2.29% of total supply.

Given that $KMNO continues a structured vesting schedule, this release aligns with its ongoing distribution pattern.

What to Watch

The May schedule features a wide distribution of unlock sizes, with $PYTH clearly dominating in both value and share of circulating supply. Its 37.36% release stands out as the month's most significant supply event.

At the same time, tokens such as $LAYER present notable relative impact due to high percentages of circulating supply entering the market, even with smaller values.

As always, token unlocks do not guarantee price movement. However, they can shift liquidity conditions and influence short-term behavior, especially when combined with broader market trends.
