Parallel Studios, the makers of the trading card game Parallel TCG, has launched its second title, Colony. The studio released the game in Early Alpha Access exclusively on Solana Seeker, a Web3 smartphone developed by Solana Mobile. This launch marks the first major release for the highly anticipated project.
Starting immediately, owners of the Solana Seeker device can access and play Colony. The Seeker device, which has garnered more than 150,000 preorders, runs on an Android-based operating system. Colony’s debut leverages this growing user base to introduce players to a new approach to AI-driven gaming.
Gameplay Concept
Colony invites players to partner with AI characters called Parallel Avatars. Each player assumes the role of a Cap-1 companion bot, commonly known as a Cappy, supporting an AI colonist from the Augencore faction. Together, players and their Avatars face challenges, endure catastrophic events, and work toward building a thriving colony on the dangerous Cerine rim of Earth.
Unlike traditional games, players do not directly control their characters. Instead, interaction happens through dialogue, where players influence their Avatar’s decisions and goals. The objective is to survive as long as possible while growing the colony. Each failure strengthens the Avatar for future attempts, creating a gameplay loop built on resilience and progression.
The Early Alpha version introduces a strategic events system and a core gameplay loop designed to highlight the role of AI in shaping user-generated content.
By guiding characters through communication and decision-making rather than direct control, Colony creates a unique balance between autonomy and player influence.
To mark the release, Parallel Studios introduced a special Solana Crate available within the game. These crates include exclusive banners, outfits, and pets. In addition, players who purchase crates are entered into a raffle for a one-of-one Golden Pet. The raffle incentivizes early adoption, offering multiple entries for each purchase.
AI Integration and Studio Vision
Parallel Studios has emphasized the role of AI in shaping not only gameplay but also broader gaming experiences. The studio’s collaboration with Atlas Design and its recent features on Google Cloud’s blog underscore the significance of AI acceleration. Colony and Parallel’s other AI-driven project, Wayfinder, reflect a commitment to positioning the studio as a leader in AI-forward gaming. CEO and founder Kalos described the launch as the studio’s bold step into living, AI-driven worlds.
"By debuting exclusively on Solana Seeker, we’re giving Solana users a chance to experience the future of interactive simulations first-hand. This Early Alpha Access launch is just the beginning. Our first wave of players will help shape the evolution of Colony and enjoy this pioneering moment." - Kalos, CEO and Founder of Parallel Studios.
Economic Model and $PRIME Token
Colony also integrates directly with the $PRIME ecosystem. Revenue generated from the gameplay loop (excluding in-game Satellite purchases) will contribute to $PRIME buybacks. For the first three months, Colony’s revenues will fund $PRIME buybacks and burns, aligning in-game activity with value capture for the ecosystem.
Speaking exclusively with SolanaFloor, Franklin Fitch, Head of Partnerships at Parallel, noted that revenues generated in $USDC and other tokens from sales will be converted into $PRIME. This model aims to ensure consistent demand for $PRIME-denominated assets and demonstrates how game revenue can be connected to token economics. The studio has stated it will reassess the buyback structure after the initial three-month period.
What’s Next for Colony?
The Colony whitepaper states that future expansions are expected to include additional spheres, allowing players and their AI agents to explore new territories and acquire a broader range of experiences.
By combining simulation, collaboration, and evolving AI interaction, the studio positions Colony as both a new title and a new genre. With its exclusive debut on Solana Seeker, the game offers early adopters the opportunity to influence its direction while experiencing a fresh approach to interactive entertainment.
