Ledger, one of the industry’s biggest manufacturers of hardware wallets, has announced the Ledger Flex™ Solana Edition. Deepening its ties with crypto’s most performant Layer-1 ecosystem, Ledger’s new Solana Edition brings fresh aesthetics and native rewards to its flagship product.

At first glance, Ledger’s Solana Edition is a sleek cosmetic upgrade that resonates with the Solana faithful. Complete with the Ledger Flex’s existing specifications and added features, the new device is finished in Solana’s iconic purple and green colorway.

On top of its Solana-maxi-friendly design, Ledger’s new device promises a fresh new range of perks uncommon among hardware wallets. Building off the success of Solana Mobile, every Solana Edition Ledger includes an exclusive Soulbound Token (SBT), making the holder eligible for potential future rewards.

While little is known about perks tied to the Solana Edition SBT, Ledger’s prominence in the crypto industry suggests that the security firm may leverage its reputation to bestow generous rewards on users.

Soulbound Tokens as Reward Strategies

The inclusion of Soulbound Tokens in physical devices has proven to be a successful marketing strategy in the past. The Solana Saga, Solana Mobile’s first device, sold out within days after consumers realized that the value of airdrops tied to the Saga’s SBT was higher than the cost of the phone itself.

How to Get a Discounted Solana Edition Ledger

The Ledger Flex Solana Edition is available on-site immediately for Accelerate attendees. Solana Saga & Solana Seeker Genesis Token holders, Solana Mobile preorder token holders, and Superteam Members SBT holders will also receive priority access. 

These orders include an exclusive black Magnet Folio accessory and $70 worth of $SOL. Future allocations of devices include a Magnet Folio and a $50 voucher in $SOL, while later devices will be available to purchase by anyone who holds SOL in Ledger Live, and include the Magnet Folio and a $20 voucher in SOL. 

After initial allocations have been sold, the Solana Edition will be available on Ledger’s official site as a general release.
