Formfunction to Shut Down on March 29

Formfunction was a 1/1 digital art marketplace that allowed creators to launch and collect unique art from various artists in the Solana ecosystem. It was founded in February 2022 by a team of software developers and designers who aimed to build a creator-centric marketplace on Solana to support the emerging 1/1 scene.
Unfortunately, on March 15, 2023, Formfunction announced on their blog that they would be shutting down their service. In the blog post titled "A Message from Formfunction," the company cited that after long discussion and careful consideration, they came to the conclusion that they cannot continue to operate the marketplace.
We have some sad news to share today—Formfunction is shutting down on Wednesday, March 29th.

This was an extremely difficult decision; however, after much discussion and careful consideration, we’ve come to the conclusion that we cannot continue to operate Formfunction.
The post also provided information on how users could export their NFT data from the platform before it was permanently shut down. Users were advised to log into their accounts and download their hashlists for all NFTs they created, so that creators and owners can continue to display/sell them on platforms of their choice. Formfunction stated that they would keep the platform operational until March 31, 2022, to allow users enough time to export their hashlists.
The news of Formfunction's shutdown was met with sadness from its user base. Many had relied on the platform to create NFTs for their collectors would now have to find alternative solutions. Formfunction played a massive role in giving platform to art creators in the Solana ecosytem. They will be dearly missed.

In their blog, they said "We’re proud of the work we’ve done to support creators—of our 4000+ creators, over 60% have made at least one sale. Formfunction has helped over 600 creators make at least $1,000, and has helped over 70 creators make at least $10,000." The impact Formfunction had on the art scene in Solana will not be forgotten. We wish the team the best of luck in the future.
