Solana’s Accelerate: Ship Or Die event featured key announcements and essential updates across the ecosystem.

The Solana community gathered at Pier 36 in New York City on Thursday, May 22, for the first day of Solana’s Accelerate conference.

The event showcased a series of groundbreaking announcements from your favourite projects. Here’s what you might have missed:

Solana Mobile Expanding Ecosystem with $SKR and TEEPIN

After confirming the Solana Seeker device shipping date, the reveal of its Trusted Execution Environment Platform Infrastructure Network (TEEPIN) architecture and native $SKR asset, Solana Mobile took center stage at this year’s Accelerate conference.

Emmett Hollyer, General Manager of Solana Mobile, shared insights into the company’s direction with these new developments. He explained how the $SKR flywheel will drive the ecosystem forward and announced the launch of the first Solana Mobile Hackathon, set to take place in June.

Kraken Launching xStocks on Solana

Centralized exchange Kraken announced a partnership with BackedFi to launch xStocks on Solana.

xStocks will offer tokenized versions of U.S.-listed equities to eligible Kraken clients in select markets outside the United States.

Jupiter Lend

Jupiter announced it will launch its new lending platform, Jupiter Lend, later this summer. Jupiter Lend aims to be “the most advanced money market on Solana.”

A waitlist for the product is available at jup.ag/lend, with over 80,000 people already signed up for early access.

Centrifuge Launches deRWAs on Solana

Centrifuge, the real-world asset tokenization platform, has integrated its deRWA token standard across established DeFi protocols Raydium, Kamino Finance, and Lulo.

deRWAs are designed to be freely transferable and instantly usable across DeFi protocols.

Ondo Finance to Launch Ondo Global Markets

Nathan Allman, Founder and CEO of Ondo Finance, unveiled Ondo’s launch of “Ondo Global Markets” on the main stage of Accelerate, enabling the trading of public securities (including stocks) directly on Solana.

As competition grows to bring traditional financial markets onto the blockchain, the platform aims to integrate deeply with the Solana DeFi ecosystem.

Ledger Flex™ Solana Edition

Hardware Wallet manufacturer Ledger has unveiled a spin on one of its newer models, the Ledger Flex™. Ian Rogers, Chief Experience Officer at Ledger, presented the Ledger Flex™ Solana Edition to the Accelerate audience on Thursday, May 22nd.

This new device comes with several features and perks, including the exclusive Soulbound Token (SBT) and $SOL rebates in the form of vouchers. Read more about it here.

R3 Integrating with Solana to Launch Consensus Layer

Private Blockchain Builder, R3, announced a collaboration with the Solana Foundation to introduce what it claims will be the first enterprise-grade, permissioned consensus service on a public Layer 1 blockchain.

With this move, R3 aims to bridge the gap between TradFi and DeFi by enabling native interoperability between its Corda platform and Solana. More details on this announcement here.

Solana’s First Physical Art Gallery

J. T. Liss, CEO of exchgART, announced the upcoming launch of Solana’s first physical art gallery in New York City. The gallery is scheduled to open later this year.

This is consistent with the blockchain’s efforts to support artists, like its Artists in Residence exhibition at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2023.

Doodles Launching DreamNet on Solana

Doodles is launching DreamNet, a decentralized, AI-powered storytelling platform, on the Solana blockchain this summer. The launch represents a significant expansion of the Doodles ecosystem as it evolves from a static NFT collection into an interactive Web3 platform that combines digital art, music, and gaming.

The company chose Solana for its “growing financial and AI infrastructure, high speed throughput, and unparalleled onboarding UX”.

Vana VRC-20 Data Tokens

Decentralized data company, Vana, has introduced support for trading VRC-20 Data Tokens on Solana. This initiative allows Solana users to take advantage of the platform to monetize their data.

At its core, Vana is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain that turns personal data into a valuable digital asset class. Its support for Solana marks an unprecedented and bold step toward a multichain future.

SOL Strategies Exploring Bringing Its Stock Onchain

Michael Hubbard, Chief Strategist at SOL Strategies, shared that the firm is exploring the possibility of making its stock available to trade on Solana. He believes “it is the obvious next step”.

GEODNET launching GEO-PULSE app on Seeker

Solana-based DePIN project GEODNET, which develops satellite-powered navigation infrastructure, will launch its GEO-PULSE quest app on the Solana Seeker mobile device.

The app will enable trustless Proof of Location on the device and let users earn $GEOD through quest-based rewards.

Double Zero launching with Solana support

Following a $28 million raise to build a physical infrastructure layer for blockchain communication, Austin Federa, co-founder of DoubleZero and former Solana Foundation Strategy Lead, announced DoubleZero’s plans to launch mainnet beta this fall with full support for Solana.
