Solana Mobile Airdrops $20M in $SKR to Early Adopters - What’s Next For Seeker?
Why could Season 2 be even bigger?

After shipping over 100,000 devices worldwide and processing over $2.6B in transaction volume across 256 dApps, $SKR has finally launched, kickstarting the Seeker economy and pushing forward one of crypto’s most ambitious experiments ever.
Developers and users alike shared in the spoils of one of Solana’s biggest airdrops in recent memory, which saw over $20M injected into the Seeker economy. Straight out of the gate, Seeker users are staking their $SKR and aligning with the ecosystem long-term. Onchain data indicates that 3.6B $SKR tokens, representing 63.8% of the circulating supply, have already been staked.

With $SKR tokens now distributed across over 100,000 users, the Seeker mobile economy begins in earnest. What can we expect from Seeker Season 2, and why is it not too late to join the action?
Seeker Season 2
Seeker Season 1 was a massive success. From the moment Seeker devices began shipping out in August 2025, users have been eager to explore dApps from all corners of the Solana Mobile ecosystem.
During the course of Season 1, over 256 apps were pushed to the Solana dApp Store, giving everyone from traders and Defi savants to gamers and DePIN buffs a secure and verifiably authentic way of interacting onchain. Users took advantage of all kinds of benefits, like boosted yield and rewards from their favorite DeFi apps or exclusive cosmetics in crypto games.
Fortunately for the Seeker community, Solana Mobile will be running it back in Season 2, bringing more apps, more boosts, and more exclusive perks. Seeker Season 2 starts with a 2x Loopscale points boost, with many more rewards expected from future applications.
Most importantly, Season 2 is a fresh start for the ecosystem. While 30% of the total $SKR supply has been allocated to community incentives, only 20b tokens were distributed to users at TGE. If you feel like you’ve already missed the boat on Solana Seeker, there are still 10b $SKR tokens waiting to go out to future ecosystem participants.
Developer Incentives
For budding entrepreneurs and app developers, Seeker Season 2 remains one of the best available distribution methods for getting ideas in front of real users. Beyond tapping into an engaged ecosystem of over 100,000 authentic humans, the Solana dApp Store eschews the 30% in-app purchasing fee upheld by the mobile duopoly.
Some apps, like Bakeland, reported getting over 11,000 hours of play time from over 2,000 users within four days of announcing their launch in the Solana dApp store. Alongside getting near-instant distribution and real-user feedback, Seeker developers were handsomely rewarded for their contributions to the ecosystem. All developers who submitted apps to the app store were given a 750,000 $SKR allocation, currently valued at over $11k at $SKR’s all-time high.
While nothing has been confirmed for Season 2, developers are likely to earn generous $SKR allocations again in the future as the Seeker economy continues to incentivize thoughtful and meaningful applications. An app store is only as good as the apps within it, and the quest for innovative applications will be reinforced by future installments of Solana Mobile hackathons.
New Seeker Hardware Devices?
The Solana Seeker may be the flagship device of the new ecosystem, but recent partnerships suggest that the Solana Mobile stack may be expanding in the near future. In December 2025, Solana Mobile General Manager Emmett Hollyer announced the firm’s collaboration with MediaTek, FXTech, and Trustonic.
These integrations mark a critical step forward for the Seeker ecosystem. A wider range of Solana Mobile devices could dramatically broaden Seeker’s total addressable market and usher in the next generation of accessible crypto hardware. Additionally, the Solana Mobile team will attend Mobile World Congress in March 2025, where Seeker will be presented to industry giants on a global scale.
The $SKR TGE may have been one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the Solana calendar, but the token’s launch is anything but a finish line. With $SKR launched and Season 2 well-underway, the Seeker economy finally has the missing piece that will align incentives and stimulate growth for the future.
