Solana Labs Opens Manhattan Office Space to Foster Web3 Collaboration and Innovation

Solana Labs, known for its high-performance, carbon-neutral Solana blockchain technology, is unveiling a new office space in Lower Manhattan. This co-working space is designed to encourage collaboration and host events for projects within the Solana blockchain ecosystem.

New York City Economic Development Corporation President & CEO Andrew Kimball, New York City Chief Technology Officer Matt Fraser, and Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine are scheduled to speak at the event. Tech:NYC is co-hosting the event with Solana Labs and Solana Foundation.

Key figures from the local tech and business community will be in attendance, including representatives from Solana Foundation, Helium Foundation, Tech:NYC, Pursuit, Boba Guys, and several New York City Council Members and state legislators.

The modern four-story glass-enclosed office is located at the intersection of Soho, the East Village, and the Lower East Side. Three of the four floors are dedicated to co-working spaces and event hosting for web3 companies within the Solana ecosystem. Teams can apply for deskspace at no cost.

The opening event will feature demos from New York-based Solana ecosystem companies, and civic leaders will have the opportunity to experience Solana-based technologies firsthand. Attendees will include representatives from 6th Man Ventures, Empire State Development Corporation, Phantom, Floor, Blockchain Association, and Exchange Art. Artwork by NFT artists Hanaknight, JT Liss, and Adam Ape will also be displayed.

Andrew Kimball, NYCEDC President & CEO, expressed enthusiasm for New York City's potential to become the global epicenter of web3. Matthew Fraser, New York City Chief Technology Officer, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the commitment of New York City to providing a nurturing environment for web3 companies.

Raj Gokal, co-founder of Solana Labs, emphasized the company's commitment to fostering the crypto ecosystem in New York City by offering office space for early-stage entrepreneurs to collaborate and build.

Tech:NYC President & Executive Director Julie Samuels welcomed Solana Labs' expansion in New York City and praised the community office space for fostering collaboration and creativity. Jason Desimone, founder of Rove World, also expressed excitement to showcase his company's technology and its potential impact on the economy and creative industries.

Scott Sigel, COO of the Helium Foundation, sees the new office space as an opportunity to share the progress made by the Helium community and explore ways to expedite smart city initiatives and close the digital divide.

The new Solana Labs office space in Lower Manhattan marks an important milestone for the Solana blockchain ecosystem and the city's web3 community, offering a hub for collaboration, innovation, and growth.
