Ethics Policy

SolanaFloor Ethics Policy

Purpose: To ensure SolanaFloor operates as a credible, independent media organization despite its ownership structure and advertising commitments.

Editorial Independence

  • Coverage decisions are made independently of ownership, sponsors, or partners.

  • Jito Foundation has no direct control over editorial decisions. 

  • Staff are not required to produce favorable coverage of any entity, including Jito.

Accuracy and Fairness

  • All content must be fact-checked and sources linked.

  • Headlines must accurately reflect the content and should not be misleading.

  • When covering controversies, include relevant context and opposing viewpoints.

Transparency

  • Ownership is disclosed in accordance with the Disclosure Policy.

  • Conflicts of interest must be disclosed when relevant.

  • SolanaFloor may collaborate with ecosystem teams on content/advertorial, but all published material must meet editorial standards and provide genuine informational value.

Advertising Content Approach

SolanaFloor does not produce traditional “sponsored content” labels. Instead, we work with partners to develop stories that are organically relevant to the ecosystem and our audience. All such content must:

  • Be grounded in real data, product functionality, or ecosystem relevance

  • Provide clear informational or educational value

  • Avoid exaggerated, promotional, or misleading claims

The SolanaFloor Editorial team retains full control over final framing, language, and publication decisions.

No Pay-for-Play Editorial

  • Coverage is not guaranteed solely in exchange for payment.

  • Commercial relationships do not dictate editorial conclusions or positioning.

  • We do not publish content that we believe is misleading, low-quality, or not relevant to our audience.

Conflicts of Interest (Staff)

  • Staff and contributors must disclose personal holdings or financial interests when relevant.

  • Avoid covering projects where there is material financial exposure unless approved with disclosure.

  • Do not use non-public information for personal gain.

Source Integrity

  • Protect confidential sources when necessary.

  • Do not publish unverified claims as fact.

  • Clearly distinguish between reporting, analysis, and opinion.

Corrections Policy

  • Errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. 

  • Significant updates should be noted within the article (e.g., “Updated on…”).

  • Do not silently alter meaning after publication.

Social Media Conduct

  • Social posts must reflect newsroom standards, including accuracy and neutrality.

  • Avoid presenting speculation as fact.

  • Personal opinions should not be confused with official SolanaFloor coverage.

Enforcement

  • Violations may result in content removal, correction, or contributor review.

  • Repeated violations may lead to termination of contributor relationships.
